From start to finish, I savoured an exceptional dining experience at Castle Terrace, by acclaimed chef Thomas Kitchin, in Edinburgh, Scotland, despite the dreadfully cold, windy and rainy weather in June .
My choice for the dinner to follow, a beautiful Burgundy from Gevrey-Chambertin. (Pinot Noir)
Spinach gnocchi with Highland Crowdie cheese in a very light tomato sauce
A Langoustine, compliments of the chef!
The main event…lamb with braised fennel. Superb!
Cabernet Franc Ice Wine from Canada and A Pinot Noir dessert wine from Austria. Both were outstanding.
…and their bottles, but in reverse order from the actual wines in the above photo.
The complimentary sweet sampler that accompanied by espresso…
until next time…à votre santé!
